Job title: Managing Director, Alternative Protein
Elizabeth is the Managing Director of Alternative Protein for Cargill. Cargill provides alternative protein customer solutions to domestic and international customers in Retail, Foodservice, and Manufacturing channels. Cargill’s alternative protein footprint includes a wide range of alternative protein sources and technologies. In this role, she is responsible for the global strategy, management, and execution of direct product and service solutions as well as investment in emerging technologies.
Prior to her current role, she was responsible for the financial performance of Cargill Protein’s largest segment- the US and Canadian beef, grind, and case ready business. As Vice President and Commercial Leader of the Retail Beef business, the growth and financial performance of this core business improved under her creative, driven and collaborative approach to leadership. As Vice President and General Manager of Cargill’s Pet Treat business, she demonstrated her ability to quickly improve results in a underperforming business by leading major change in the strategy, culture, and execution in all aspects including commercial and operation responsibility in a newly acquired business for Cargill.
Starting in Cargill’s North American Protein business in 2005, Elizabeth has gained extensive experience in prior roles including positions in branding and marketing, sales management, supply chain, pricing, and business analytics. As a vocal leader for inclusion and diversity efforts at Cargill Protein, she was the founding President of the Women’s Council that helped establish the first International Women’s Day celebration and event and several mentorship programs designed to advance diversity and women’s careers.
Elizabeth earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance in addition to undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Marketing from Wichita State University.
Elizabeth lives in Wichita, KS where she and her husband Luke are raising their son and daughter. She is active in the community through one on one mentorships in Big Brothers, Big Sisters and her children’s athletic endeavors.
